Ad Tag Validation Checklist
To enable successful ad tag validations, ensure that your ad tag production and quality assurance process observes general best practices, as laid out in the following ad tag checklist:
- Verify that your ad works in all browsers across all operating systems.
- Verify that your ad works in all players and player sizes.
- Verify that this ad tag does not contain multiple video ad tag references. This tool cannot validate an ad tag that contains more than one ad.
- Verify that your ad works both in full-screen and normal modes in the player, and after switching back and forth between display modes.
- Verify that you can play or pause the video ad, if that feature is available for the video player in question. Note that this functionality is not always available for all players.
- Verify that your companion banner appears as expected.
- Verify that all quartile progress events will fire for your ad as expected. Verify that your ad does not throw errors, such as the AdImpression event firing before the AdStarted event.
- Verify that all Clickthru events will fire for your ad as expected.
- If your ad tag requires creativeData passed through the adParameters node, append the URL of the ad tag validator (loaded with your tag) with the &showCreativeData=true parameter, and then verify that this ad tag works as expected. For more information, see: About Advanced Settings
- Note that, by default, Tremor Video will display an AdChoices icon overlay in the corner of the video ad when it's trafficked. If your ad tag contains a native configuration of an AdChoice icon, multiple icon overlays may appear with the ad in the validator.
